Ronaldo's pure magic helped United to the title and the Portuguese winger was named PFA Player and Young Player of the Season, deservedly so after the stick he got after 2006 World Cup in Germany. Highlights of this season: O'Shea's injury time winner at Anfield, winning the league inside the 'Council House', reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League (with a 7-1 romp against Roma in the quarter final), and of course, being involved in the first FA Cup Final at the new Wembley against Chelsea. United may have lost 1-0 to a late Drogba goal, in what turned out to be one of the worst cup finals, but most Reds wouldn't have been too bothered as the title had been won for the 16th time and that was the main priority."
